My Beautiful Project Manager Nicole Alexander, myself & the stunning Bev Brock

The launch of "Dancing with Spirit", the first book of author Julie McKenzie was held in front of over 180 people on Sunday 14th October 2007.

Any pre-performance anxiety disappeared as speakers addressed a warm, friendly & receptive crowd. The afternoon went like a dream.

When Julie arrived at the Cultural Centre, all her family, friends & "soon to be friends" were waiting there. "Some I hadn't seen for five years!" she said, "It was so wonderful, people of whom I had never met before, people who I have treated, old friends, as well as people from inter-state.!"

There was light finger-food, wine & cheese. Everyone mingled & had a wonderful time, then it was time to be seated.

Nicole Alexander was MC for the afternoon's proceedings, & spoke highly of the dedication & commitment Julie has, being a wife, a mother, a business woman, a mentor & author. Nicole spoke on how highly she regarded Julie, her abilities, her integrity & her gift. She then introduced Bev Brock, author of "Peter Brock – Living with a Legend".

Guest Speaker Bev Brock, then spoke candidly about her friendship with Julie. She spoke of their meeting and of an uncanny & extremely accurate contact that Julie had experienced with Peter Brock, and how Julie had delivered a message from Peter to Bev, in such details, that were unknown to anyone else, but Bev & Peter. This confirmed for Bev, that Julie was truly gifted, and her communication with Spirit was indeed accurate & profound.

Bev spoke on the importance of following your passion in your life, she spoke of passing over into our next life, & the spiritual connection she shared with Peter. The talk was informative, light & warm. All the facets that Bev Brock is.

Julie was then called to the stage by an applauding crowd, she began to speak & the whole Cultural Centre fell silent, as everyone wanted to hear Julies every word. Julie mentioned she decided not to pre-write a speech, rather, let it flow from her heart. "I needn't have worried. I don't know where my voice came from, but it was strong and focused. I made eye contact with each individual in the crowd at least once in my speech, & I just let myself be guided by the Angels." Julie said.

Julie spoke about about what lead her to writing and about the book itself. Julie read excerpts from the book, and beautifully touched on the passing over of Jamie & Marcus.

At times it was very emotional, not one person in the crowd would not have been touched or have experienced goose bumps. One could see how moved Julie was to be living her dream & feeling the accomplishment of thousands of hours work. Her speech was fascinating, thought provoking, calming, yet stirring. There was a feeling in the room that there were more than just people watching. It was unnerving, yet felt very safe.

One of the highlights of the day was to see the love & support Julie has from her family & friends, hearing & seeing how proud they are of her.

Other things that made the day were the wide cross section of people who came to the launch, Bev & Julie sharing her life experiences, & Julie's daughter coming on stage.

At 4.30pm when the afternoon wound up, there was a sense of happiness & calm over the crowd. The afternoon had taken everyone on a visual & emotional journey. With "Dancing with Spirit" under arms, everyone left with a lasting impression, & a thirst to read this powerful book.
